Programming
PHP
I’ve developed web applications, contributed patches to PHP projects such as Drupal, X-cart, and Magento. I’ve also created a Drupal module (Jquery_Slideshow). I’ve been actively programming in PHP since 2001 and have a solid understanding of advanced programming such as Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Unit Testing, Database Migrations, and source control.
- Developed a Scout Management Software Site (Web app) with Zend Framework / Doctrine ORM, that allows a Cubmasters and leaders to manage a Cubscout Pack. Features include: a calendar for posting events, organization of scouts into groups (dens). It also allows you to keep contact information and relation information (Scout parents), and will soon have a way to keep track of advancement for rank and achievements. - Designed and developed a Zend Framework / Doctrine web app that allows customers of a service to view search through their documents they’ve sent back and forth.
- Developed a Zend Framework web app that synchronizes the product quantity and price with the business’ vendors through hourly updates utilizing.
- Developed a product database that tracked thousands of skus, their prices, vendors, descriptions, and appearances in catalogs. This database also synchronized with another database to keep the product descriptions in tandem, as well as tracked the revisions of the product descriptions. This organized the products and made it easier to pick skus for new products, get reports for order processing staff to reference.
- Developed a Key Word tracking tool to keep track of desired key word positions over time. This utilized PHP, Perl, and a Postgresql database. This was not a screen scraping program, but utilized the web APIs for Google, Yahoo, and MSN. This helped us to identify where we lacked in keyword performance and how are ranking fared over time.
- Sizing Tool application that allows motorcycle riders to submit their measurements and get recommended suits sizes returned. Javascript, PHP, MySQL.
Drupal
I created and maintain a Drupal module called Jquery_Slideshow. It creates a javascript slideshow that automatically scales images and rotates them. You can find all of my contributions to Drupal by searching on my username nvoyageur.
Magento
Even though Magento is relatively new, I’ve been using it since it the first stable release back in May 2007.
Javascript
Javascript projects I’ve developed include:
- A color swatch switching program to display different color combination for various products.
- Several AJAX functions such as auto-filling a city/state field from a zip code database
- The aforementioned Jquery Slideshow module written for Drupal.
- Very adept with the jQuery library.
I’m using your Magento Catalog Request form, and it is awesome. It has worked great up until this weekend where I get a white screen of death while entering admin page for it. Any ideas to remedy?
